Coordinating monitoring requirements for Stream Restoration Projects; restoring native vegetation.
Swale with turbid water (< 250 NTU) with seemingly adequate erosion and sediment control.
Post-construction and operational BMP inspection. CDS unit with floatables.
Dry cement dumped near drain inlet produces future water quality exceedance. Should be cleaned up immediately. Common occurrence at many supply stores.
Drain inlets with robust barriers and bonded fiber matrix application on slopes. Efforts assist in reducing erosion and turbid discharges while vegetation is established.
Sampling approaches change as construction progresses. Collection system converges to a Stormceptor unit - as the convergent sampling point.
Questionable protection of drain inlet as area re-vegetation is in progress. Approach may be to cover inlet with filter fabric and divert or pond runoff - at least temporarily. Monitor for fertilizer application.
