QSP Day 1-2 Training

Becoming a QSP requires attending a Day 1-2 course delivered by a ToR and passing a 2022 CGP Exam via the CASQA LMS.  But, you are not done, yet! This has to be combined with an approved Prerequisite.  It is a two-part process, but the order is not critical.  Classes are available online Zoom or in-person.

QSD Day-3 Training

QSDs develop and amend SWPPPs.  Under the 2022 CGP, QSDs will complete certain required inspections.  Becoming a QSD requires becoming or being a QSP, then attending a QSD Day-3 course delivered by a ToR followed by passing an exam on the CASQA LMS.  Then, this has to be paired with an approved Prerequisite.
Inspector Training
This inspector training is geared toward municipal inspectors for CIP and private development. Many such inspectors may understand their jurisdictional rules but do not understand the 2022 CGP or stormwater/SWPPP issues. Inspector training can be customized for individual or group interests.

RUSLE2 Training for 2022 GGP

RUSLE2 has 4 applications under the 2022 CGP. RUSLE2 is marginally understood as the agricultural erosion model, but it minimally understood for its role under the 2022 CGP.  The course will address updated understandings of RUSLE2 for its role under the 2022 CGP.

Industrial Sampling Training

Common errors in sampling and reporting occur because of untrained samplers.  Sampling industrial stormwater under the IGP and other regulations require robust knowledge for effective sampling.  The course addresses the basics in runoff sampling, developing effective industrial sampling plans, and responding to sampling results.

Construction SWPPP Writing course

The course presents effective SWPPP writing under the 2022 CGP requirements. Common errors are described and improved methods and preparations for SWPPP writing are discussed to provide SWPPPs that meet the 2022 CGP as well as provide support against RWQCB action and NGO lawsuits.
Discharge observation

IGP SWPPP Writing

The course outlines the 2018 IGP SWPPP and Map requirements.  Common SWPPP deficiencies are discussed.  IGP SWPPPs must be developed per the 2018 IGP, and more, to meet RWQCB demands and prevent NGO lawsuits. TMDLs require advanced SWPPP descriptions and implementation.

Monitoring: Sampling; Analysis; and Studies

Typical services emphasize water quality sampling.  Sampling runoff under the California Construction and Industrial Permits, and Municipal Programs. Other services include automated or innovative sampler planning, design, and installation. Also, perform and coordinate TMDL studies, WLA sampling, BMP performance sampling and dye studies.

Modeling:  Water Quality; Watershed; Fate and Transport

Water quality modeling services utilzing a collection of publicly available and supported models, programs and calculations.  Modeling support may apply for TMDLS, WLAs, stream studies, mixing zone analysis and BMP performance.  Models include HSPF, SWMM, QUAL2-E, MINTEQ, CORMIX, BASINS application.

Modeling efforts can support a regulatory requirement or defend an innovative water quality approach.  Related modling efforts can support EIR and other related findings.  Overall modeling efforts can be useful under various stages of development from construction to operational - to support LID and water quality treatment and improvement with new and re-newed development.
